Indigo Jam Games re-envision Deathtrap Dungeon

Back in 1984 Ian Livingstone wrote “Deathtrap Dungeon” the 6th book in the “Fighting Fantasy” series, which has gone on to sell 15 Million worldwide and this year will be celebrating its 30th year anniversary. Republished in 2002 and 2010 by Wizard books a whole new generation have been introduced to this iconic series.

The book was written after Ian Livingston had been on a trekking holiday in Northern Thailand in 1981. With locations from the holiday being used as a settings in the book the city of Chaing Mai, the river Kok, the town of Fang and even the infamous Baron Sukumvit was inspired by Sukumvit road in Bangkok.

Deathtrap Dungeon is set in the fantasy world of Titan in the Allansia region, it sees you take part in the trial of champions testing your skills against elaborately fiendish traps and numerous bloodthirsty monsters searching for precious gems that will allow you to escape the labyrinth alive and becoming wealthy beyond your dreams.

Indigo Jam Games have taken this well-loved book and combined it with their brief to make an action adventure game for iOS. This first person action adventure will see the player exploring different areas of the Labyrinth finding treasures, battling enemies and avoiding deadly traps while trying to recover the Gems that will lead to freedom.
